Blues guitarist and singer Sue Foley joins me on the show this week. Sue has had an incredible career, starting out in Ottawa, Canada and then Vancouver, before hooking up with harp player James Harman and making the move to Austin, Texas. Once there, it didn’t take her long to get picked up by the legendary Antone’s label, and under the helpful eye of blues kingpin Clifford Antone, started her recording career. Sue has made some great records and has been heavily involved in the Austin scene over the decades, collaborating with Austin stalwarts like Jimmie Vaughan, Charlie Sexton and Angela Strehli. Her latest record is called “The Ice Queen”.
