Will Kimbrough joins me on the show this week. Will considers himself a songwriter first and foremost, but he’s a killer guitar player as well who has earned his keep as sideman both live and in the studio for many years. He has played with and/or produced albums for Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Todd Snider, Steve Poltz, Kim Richey, and has even written songs for Jimmy Buffett and Little Feat. He put out a killer solo acoustic record in 2020 called Spring Break, and we get into the process of making that record, his guitars, how he approaches producing and playing on sessions, how he landed gigs with Rodney Crowell and Emmylou, and lots more. Enjoy, share the episode, and don’t forget to leave us a review, and subscribe to the show.
